Self reliance is a popular theme these days. For some people, it’s not so easy being self reliant and they’ve developed a dependent lifestyle. They are dependent on others to provide for their well being.
Welfare, the dole, whatever you want to call it takes freedom away from people when used on a long term basis. The welfare itself becomes a job and the recipient will focus all of their efforts on keeping that money stream coming in.
Being self reliant means coming up with a plan of action to lift yourself out of poverty. It’s about using welfare as a tool to bring you out of poverty.
