Debt Consolidation Can Be The Answer

Wow. I have just now been looking at ways to decrease our family’s monthly expenses. It seems like way too much of our monthly budget is devoted to paying down unsecured debt. This unsecured debt is high interest rate debt so even though we pay quit a bit in payments every month, most of the money is going to just pay down the interest. Plus there are tons of bills.

Luckily, I discovered debt consolidation from the good folks at DebtConsolidation.com. Think about it, really. They’ve got an easy approval process, experts who will give you great financial planning advice and they even have a 24 hour helpline. What better way to get the help we need on debt management.

My Taped Up Mobile

I have got an old nokia phone that I use on a regular basis. Lately, the housing has become loose and even though I picked up a new housing, it still falls off. It’s an old phone and these kind of things are to be expected with them.

I decided to tape up the cell phone in order to keep the casing attached. The tape works, but my wife saw it and commented that people will think I am poor when I use it. I told her, no problem. People won’t steal the phone and who cares it they think I’m poor.

My taped up cellphone is working great for me and I don’t think I will be replacing it anytime soon. I guess I am too much of a cheapskate.

Get The Card That Fits Your Needs

Now that my credit is back on track and my wife is enjoying here time here in the states, we are starting to acquire more and more of the American dream and that means more credit cards. It seems like there are offers out there right and left and it’s tough to find out which credit cards are the best for us without taking a look at a credit card review.

A good review site like the Credit Cards Club helps us to find some really good cards. Big on our list are the balance transfer cards. I like being able to find credit cards where we can transfer our debt and get a good deal on interest. Paying little to no interest on our credit card debt means more money in our pockets every month.

Another type of card that my wife likes to look for are the no annual fee credit cards. I warned her early on about getting too many cards because of the annual fees so she just applies for the no annual fee credit cards and I guess I have no reason to complain to her.

All in all, as long as I ensure we get the best cards in the card categories, then I am very happy. It is convenient having credit cards ready when it comes time to shop.

Save Money With LED Lighting

My first telemarketing jobs years ago was selling long life light bulbs. Compact fluorescent bulbs were just coming out and they presented a unique opportunity for people to save a significant amount of money on their power bills. Their long life aspect made them pay for themselves just through the lower replacement rate. Convincing people to save money was the hard part, believe it or not.

Just like compact fluorescent bulbs before them, a new, more cost effective form of lighting is available. LED Light Bulbs offer the chance to save even more money on your monthly power bill. They last up ten as long as a compact fluorescent bulbs, making them cost effective just on a replacement basis. The significant power savings is the gravy on top.

Eco Geek Living is a great place to find energy saving LED light bulbs as well other products that can make environmentally friendly living easier and better.

New Ways To Save Money

Lately I have been looking for new ways to save money. The economy is tight so that means we need to cut back on unneeded expenses. It just seems like our family budget is getting larger and larger each month while our income is not keeping up.

I came up with a few ideas to reduce our expenses. First off, I decided to cut out all pay TV channels. We don’t need them. Also I decided to got with a video membership rather than just renting individual videos.

Next, I decided to cut out restaurants meals not just for dinner, but also for lunch. I’ll be packing a lunch to take to work each day. It’s easy to nuke my lunch in the microwave at work and it can save us several dollars a day.

Lastly, I am opting for the bus once a week. Instead of taking the car one day a week, it will be public transport.

Living The Easy Life

I know several friends who have decided to start living the easy life. What they have done is not very remarkable in the grand scheme of things, but it’s been very remarkable in their life. What exactly have they done?

They have sold their homes and have opted for a simpler life. One of my friends has stayed in the US, but two of them have went abroad. They are earning a decent investment income and do not have to work like they had to before. Their lives are much more simple.

I say that they are living the easy life. I have done it before and now I think it might be getting time to do it again.
