I’ll bet that you didn’t know that one of the top keywords on Google has been mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Many people who have been diagnosed with this form of cancer are eligible for certain types of compensation. In fact, my grandfather got it from exposure to asbestos and had a large cash settlement from Manville before he passed away. Luckily he was able to hire an attorney who knew how to fight for his rights and get him the compensation that he deserved.

Anyways, I just think it’s cool that it’s a top keyword and now you know why it’s a top one.

Internet marketing costs continue to increase even as the overall economy is in recession. It’s not surprising really, business need to fight even harder to get customers. With higher customer acquisition costs, businesses are becoming less profitable. Fortunately, there is a better way.

The most cost effective way to increase sales is not to increase advertising spending, but rather to improve the rate of conversion. With conversion rate optimization, you can convert more of your visitors into sales. In other words, you make your marketing efforts become more productive.

If you are serious about improving your marketing, you should look into this.

Let’s talk about business for a change. It’s been a bit of time since we had our last posts about ways to make more money. Right now, with the economy the way it is, it can be tough to start a brand new business from the ground up. It’s easier and more cost effective to put more money into an existing business by shoring up the current customer base.

One of the best ways to shore an existing core customer base is with promotional activities directed right at them. I have long been an advocate of advertising specialties and promo products. They are cheap way to keep your name in front of customers. One of my personal favorite promotional products are promotional pens. They are always useful and they are always well used. What better way to promote your business and shore up your existing customer base?

Ok, it’s time to talk business. I have been focused on non business things for the last couple of months. I’m dealing with some personal health issues and my productivity in everything has sufferred as a result. Not anymore. I decided to take the bulls by the horn and start doing productive things each and every day, even if my health is not cooperating.

English Casa is nearing completion. It’s going to be a guide for TEFL teachers in Latin America. I am not completely sure where it’s headed, but I think it’s going to be a great resource.

I am going to have a forum at Blogovela up and running within the next week. This will be a webmaster type of forum. Yes, I know there are hundreds, if not thousands of them, but face it, people are using them. I might as well be part of it.

I have more plans to follow, but one thing is sure. I am back.

I made a suggestion several months back that business holidays cards are a great way to promote your business and keep your business in customer’s mind as the new year rolls around. It’s getting closer to the holiday season, so I thought I would give you a link to good buys on corporate holiday cards. Your business image is important so you don’t just want to make any old card, you want it to stand out and represent the quality that your business shows to customers day in and day out.

The business environment is tighter than ever before. Marketing is the best way to differentiate your business from your competitors. I think these business holiday cards can be a positive addition to any marketing campaign.
