MCSE’s are at the forefront of helping businesses succeed and that’s why it’s such a great career opportunity.

Don’t Give Up On Us

Don’t give up on us is a popular song that has touched the lives and hearts of many different people around the world. No one wants to be given up on and making that statement says, hey I can still be successful, I can still get through.

It’s all about not giving up and trying to find a way despite obstacles that might crop up along the way. It is having faith that things will turn out for the better. That’s the way I feel right now for a couple of my personal projects. I am trying to solicit help from others and it means letting people know that they shouldn’t give up and they should try to help others succeed.

Maybe that can be the theme song of my personal projects?

Teaching Web Marketing

I have been asked to teach about web marketing to some students. They are very interested in knowing more about web marketing and getting their feet wet on the business side of the web. I can understand why, there are big profits to make in the web marketing industry.

The first thing that probably needs to be learned is how web marketing works in the first place, from PPC to SEM with a dash of affiliate marketing. Next, basic web design needs to be taught. Once basic web design is taught, then you can move on to putting everything together in a final package.

I do not know how my classes will go and it’s really just a chance to get my feet wet so we will see how things go.

Disaster Preparation

I think it’s time to be prepared for disaster. Disaster can strike at any time and with the recent earthquake in Thailand and Cyclone in Burma, it’s easy to see just how fragile things can be even if you are prepared. Think how much worse things could be if you aren’t prepared.

It’s a good idea to keep a backpack for every family member filled up with food and important items in case of disaster. In my backpack, I have flash drive filled with scanned copies of all of my family’s important papers. I have packs of crackers with a peanut butter. I’ve got a couple cans of corned beef. I have a flashlight and an extra set of batteries. I have drinking water. I know it’s not a full 72 hour kit, but I do have some things on hand for emergencies.

CEH Certification

It seems like there are a lot of different IT certifications out there. It’s hardly surprising because not only are there a great number of packages and system out there, but certification is the only way to show that you really are qualified in your area of expertise. I just ran across the Certified Ethical Hacker certification recently.

The CEH Certification basically certifies your knowledge of ways to test security systems in an ethical way. It’s big business to find people who are capable of finding security flaws before people with nefarious ideas do.

If you are interested in CEH certification, you have to make sure you are prepared to take the exam and that’s where QuickCert comes in. They offer training in both CEH and just every other IT certification.
