E-Commerce

I haven’t really been looking too much into E-commerce sites. Instead I have been focusing on sites that involve just letting people know about the company. It’s like building a basic web presence though I have been approached to build a e-commerce site for a local business so for the first time, I am looking into E-commerce and how to implement a site.

It sure does change the way you look at things, for example, I need to check on shopping carts, secure hosting and more. It seems like the list is long. Any ideas on how I could implement a decent E-commerce site? I think I have something new to research.

Good Credit Card Offers

Finally there is a place where you can find good solid information on credit cards from a consumer’s perspective. I remember several months ago I was looking for credit cards and now that my credit is repaired a bit, I have started looking for a good credit credit card. I just want to see what is out there. Luckily I have found CreditNet. They have credit card offers that run the gamut from a good credit credit card to a bad credit credit card and everything in between.

I sure wish I had found this site when I last applied for a credit card. I had to spend a lot of time churning through offers and trying to remember the names of credit card companies so I could apply online. CreditNet makes things easy to find a good credit card offers, but they don’t just have credit offers. They also have information, forums and helpful information on all kinds of debt, including credit repair. Save money and save time? That’s a good valuable idea.

Online Payment Processors

In business, finding decent online payment processors is quite exasperating. It seems like there are dozens of processors that can help you handle your online income, but they never quite seem to satisfy. It seems like they all are lacking in some way or another.

Of course there is Paypal. Paypal is pretty much universally available, but they are known to put on holds with very little warning and very little recourse. Paypal is a good way to lock up a lot of your funds when you need them the most. Then there are the fees. It’s not smart to have all of your business with just one monopolistic provider.

Google Checkout is good, but it requires a credit card and there is no way to keep funds in the account. In reality, it’s just a glorified merchant account.

Alert Pay looks promising, but until it has more of a worldwide presence, it seems like it is one to avoid.

Moneybookers seems to difficult to get set up with an account. The verification procedure seems difficult at best.

E Gold looks like it could be a winner, but frankly the way you have to withdraw your funds is just plain weird and cumbersome.

Any other ideas out there?

Bad Credit Loans Made Easy

I’ve had problems with credit. Well, not so much of a problem as a lack. See, if you don’t have credit, it’s like having bad credit. It’s difficult to get a loan because no one wants to take a chance on you. My wife and I wanted to buy a car, but we had a difficult time doing it because of my “bad” credit. Thankfully, we found out about loan providers that focus on providing good loans to people with less than perfect credit.

We ended up finding a bad credit auto loan and we were able to get the car we wanted to get. It sure has made life easier. As we learned more about bad credit loans, we found out that there are services like the Complete Loan Source that can help you get many different kinds of loans, even if you have bad credit. It really nice seeing the different loan opportunities that we had thought were impossible for us to get. It seems like we now have more opportunities for loans than we did before.

Using Free Energy

I have been lately looking into some ideas about using free energy in order to live more frugally. I am sure that piques your interest. No, I am not talking about free energy like cold fusion or anything like that, I am talking about forms of energy that we already have for free. I am talking about wind and solar primarily.

I am doing my best to implement a couple of solar projects around the house. My herb garden is one of them. It uses the free energy of the sun to create nearly free food. I am also looking at a solar water heater that can save us a bit of money. Remember a penny saved is a penny earned.

Build Your Own and Save Money

I talked earlier about one of the business web services projects I had presented to a local business. I didn’t go into very many details about it in that post, but it involved creating an intranet system that would use a web front end with a mysql database. I would have needed to build a PC to use as a standalone webserver in the office. I stood to gain profit on the software solution as well as profit on making the server.

It’s easy to build a PC. All you really need is a screwdriver and maybe a small pair of pliers. That’s really all you need to assemble all of the parts. When you build your own PC, the hard work is to find the best parts that will make up your custom system. It means finding the motherboard that works with the case and making sure you’ve got everything you need to put it together. Once you have all of the parts, the building goes very quickly.

Getting the different parts to make a system can mean ordering from several different suppliers, that’s why Easy As My PC is a good solution. They’ve got do it yourself (DIY) kits with all the parts that you need to put together a system in just a few minutes. Buy putting together your own system, you have easy save more than $100 on a great computer system.
