Cook At Home and Save Money

I know this is one of the biggest no brainers out there, but if you want to really save some serious money, you should cook at home. I call it a no-brainer, but the truth is a lot of people overlook this as a way to cut down expenses.

It could be as simple as cooking at home one night more per week. You could also save money by making a little bit more food than you normally do and freezing it. You can take it to work the next day and microwave it up. That way you don’t spend as much money buying food away from home. It will all save you some money and with things the way they are, this is a universal value.

Home Improvement Ideas

My sister who lives in Texas has been talking about getting some home improvement work done on her house this summer. She was asking for my advice on things she could do on her house in order to increase its value more than the cost of the improvement. This is a good question and one people are going to be asking a lot more about in the next few months. A home improvement is the best way to increase the value of your home in stagnant real estate market.

I hit the internet and started looking at things she could do to improve her Houston home. I found some nice Houston decks that would look good in her backyard. I also found some nice Houston siding that would really make her house look better. I don’t which she will go with, but at least she has some information to improve her home’s value.

Censorship or Not?

My mom was asking me about censorship and the FCC for a class she is taking at Uni. God bless her for going back to the university to get her Masters degree. The question she was talking about was if it is right or wrong for the FCC to censor TV and radio. I am normally against censorship, but I surprised my mom with the answer.

My answer is that we wouldn’t want someone shouting obscenities in a government building, in a school or other publicly owned place. If a drunk guy is cursing in a public park, they will arrest him, so why not in an equally public place, the publicly owned airwaves? It seems to make sense to me. It’s not censorship in a true sense, but rather it is utilizing the public airwaves for the public good.

Utilize A Mystery Shopping Service For Better Customer Service

Customer service is a good way to differentiate your business from the competition. In previous businesses I have run, I have always focused on ensuring that my customers always got a great value, not only on good prices but also with great service. If you are running a mom and pop shop, you can ensure it personally, but what if your business is larger and you need to hire employees and maintain multiple branches?

You can still ensure that your business keeps its service level high if you utilize a mystery shopping service. A mystery shopping service will grade your business on various areas so that you can rectify problems and maintain your company’s brand image.

Real Good Feel Good Song

I was just listening to an older song by Mel McDaniels entitled Real Good, Feel Good Song. It is one of those kind of songs that tries to make you feel better after having so many things go wrong. It has a nice beat and nice tempo. I think we all need a real good, feel good song these days.

It’s so amazing how a song can give you a little joy and happiness in your life. A song can take out away the blues and make us all happy. It can make us feel good when everything goes wrong. If you are feeling a little down, just find a good song and get to listening to it. You are certain to get to feeling better.
