In business, finding decent online payment processors is quite exasperating. It seems like there are dozens of processors that can help you handle your online income, but they never quite seem to satisfy. It seems like they all are lacking in some way or another.
Of course there is Paypal. Paypal is pretty much universally available, but they are known to put on holds with very little warning and very little recourse. Paypal is a good way to lock up a lot of your funds when you need them the most. Then there are the fees. It’s not smart to have all of your business with just one monopolistic provider.
Google Checkout is good, but it requires a credit card and there is no way to keep funds in the account. In reality, it’s just a glorified merchant account.
Alert Pay looks promising, but until it has more of a worldwide presence, it seems like it is one to avoid.
Moneybookers seems to difficult to get set up with an account. The verification procedure seems difficult at best.
E Gold looks like it could be a winner, but frankly the way you have to withdraw your funds is just plain weird and cumbersome.
Any other ideas out there?
