Telemarketing for Lead Generation

I mentioned in an earlier post that telemarketing was a good way to get leads. It’s not surprising that I used that method quite extensively when I was in my timeshare marketing business. We didn’t want to waste the time of our good sales people on just any kind of lead. We wanted to have a pre-qualified lead and then use our sales staff to book the tour reservation.

Most new employees would start out doing our “surveys” which were only meant to collect leads. Our employees would call up people and ask them a simple 10 question telemarketing questionnaire and then finish it with the typical classification questions. The classification questions allowed us to pre-qualify our leads. The telemarketing saved us a lot of money on buying regular leads and allowed us to branch into doing surveys for local businesses as well. We were already asking 10 questions, might as well ask them on behalf of a local business.

That’s really the true power of telemarketing. It’s a flexible medium that allows your business to take advantage of many different opportunities and expand your business reach with a minimal investment. You don’t even have to do your telemarketing in house anymore, you can use a service like Blueberry Marketing Solutions to do it all for you.

Get Leads

One of the best ways to build a business is with good quality leads. What is a lead? A lead is simply someone who may be interested in your product. How interested they are in your product determines just how good the lead is. Why use leads? Doesn’t it make a lot more sense to promote your business to those who might actually use your product or service than to try to promote it to people who have no interest whatsoever?

Leads are important and that’s why they are the lifeblood of every business, whether they admit it or not. You can get leads several ways. You can make a survey, you can use a web based form, you can even telemarket. The goal is simply to collect leads for your business in the manner that can give you the greatest profitability.

Get A Commercial Mortgage

If you are in business like I am, then you know how tough getting the right kind of business capital can be. It seems like too much valuable time is taken away from building your business because you have to spend your extra time at the bank or loan company. This leads some businesses to try to fund their business with credit cards, but in reality, that’s only a short term solution.

I have been doing a lot of looking for funding for my business and they all look less than perfect and now that we are looking for a business location, it is getting even tougher. It means that we need to start looking into commercial mortgages. A commercial mortgage differs from a residential mortgage in that instead of buying a home, you are buying a business location. Buying a business location makes sense economically, but it can be tough to get the commercial mortgage you need to purchase it.

That’s why it’s a good idea to find an expert in business lending who can help you get the loan you need without the hassles of dealing with a bank. BusinessMortgages.co.uk is one such expert in the UK and offers the commercial mortgages and business loans you need to make a successful business.

30 Million People Can’t Be Wrong?

When everyone else is doing something, it is hard to be the only one not doing something. This is true in life, in business, in styles, you name it. It’s been the same since we were in grade school. It goes by many different names, like peer pressure, and it’s something that is always with it. Maybe it is the need to fit in or maybe it is the fact that we feel the crowd is always right.

Usually the crowd is right. Ask the crowd an easy question and if it is an easy question than what the crowd says is the right answer is usually the right answer. While that applies to the simple questions, it is a much less accurate way to get to the truth when you are dealing with the hard questions. In fact, experience has shown me that when the hard questions come up, the crowd is more often wrong than right. I don’t know if I could call it the collective stupidity or what, but it seems like a good characterization of it.

The next time you see an ad that says 30 million people cant be wrong, just remember that collective intelligence is just as common as collective stupidity.

Use Lumber That Lasts

In my previous post, I mentioned that doing projects around the house was a good way to increase your home’s value. One of the easiest projects to do around the house is landscaping. Your projects can be as simple as constructing a raised flower bed to a more complex project like a new backyard deck. With such a wide range of projects to choose from, it is easy to find one that adds a lot of value to your home in the easiest way possible.

When doing any outdoor project, you need to make sure you use pressure treated lumber. Pressure treated lumber is lumber that is treated so that it can handle the rigors of outdoor use and still keep its quality over the years. It means your outdoor project will still be as good as new several years from now.

Pacific Wood Preserving Companies is one such company that specializes in pressure treating lumber for long lasting projects. If you are spending your time on a project, it’s best to use materials that will stand the test of time.

Make Money with a Saturday Cleanup

I have talked about making Saturday a day for projects around the house. It’s a chance to fix things around the house that need fixing or doing general cleanup. In essence, it’s a good day to get the stuff done that you need to do. Having the completed projects and a better home should be enough benefit, but did you know that you can make money with a Saturday cleanup?

All the work you are doing around the house is adding to the value of your home. That value you are adding is found in your increased equity and depending on the projects you are undertaking, you could be adding hundreds of dollar of value to your home every Saturday. Isn’t that reason enough to do a Saturday cleanup?
