I think it’s time to be prepared for disaster. Disaster can strike at any time and with the recent earthquake in Thailand and Cyclone in Burma, it’s easy to see just how fragile things can be even if you are prepared. Think how much worse things could be if you aren’t prepared.
It’s a good idea to keep a backpack for every family member filled up with food and important items in case of disaster. In my backpack, I have flash drive filled with scanned copies of all of my family’s important papers. I have packs of crackers with a peanut butter. I’ve got a couple cans of corned beef. I have a flashlight and an extra set of batteries. I have drinking water. I know it’s not a full 72 hour kit, but I do have some things on hand for emergencies.
Monetization Ideas
Lately, I have been looking at some new ways to monetize my web sites. I know haven’t been doing my best to take advantage of monetization opportunities that have presented themselves so now is the time to make money on the web and convert my traffic into cash.
This has always been a goal but with other projects getting in the way, it’s hard to get back to concentrating on these important ways to increase my income. Next week, I will be remonetizing to maximum effect all of my existing sites as well as embarking on a new web site every day.
New Ways To Save Money
Lately I have been looking for new ways to save money.The economy is tight so that means we need to cut back on unneeded expenses. It just seems like our family budget is getting larger and larger each month while our income is not keeping up.
I came up with a few ideas to reduce our expenses. First off, I decided to cut out all pay TV channels. We don’t need them. Also I decided to got with a video membership rather than just renting individual videos.
Next, I decided to cut out restaurants meals not just for dinner, but also for lunch. I’ll be packing a lunch to take to work each day. It’s easy to nuke my lunch in the microwave at work and it can save us several dollars a day.
Lastly, I am opting for the bus once a week. Instead of taking the car one day a week, it will be public transport.
Spring Seasonal Housework
One of the ways to keep the value up on your home is to make sure you do keep your seasonal housework completed. Seasonal housework is that work that comes up with the change of seasons and is work that can leave your home less than nice.
In spring, you need to make sure that you keep do thorough cleaning of the outside of your home to clean up from the winter. That means, clean up the trash, dead branches and other debris that was collected over the winter. It also means preparing the flowers bed to summer flower beauty. Lastly, it means doing a through cleaning of the inside of the house.
