Five Programs For An Easier Life

I was just thinking about the 5 programs that make my life easier on a daily basis. Ok, I don’t use Windows, so I am sure that the programs I use are different than what you might use, but that’s ok. You can make the switch to Ubuntu Linux and use these programs to make your life easier.

1) Liferea. It’s the Linux Feed Reader. It keeps track of RSS feeds that I am following and it doesn’t use too many resources. I like being able to follow sites without doing a lot of visiting.

2) Open Office. I love it. It does everything I need it to do.

3) Gedit. I couldn’t survive without Gedit. It has a word count and it is just simple to use. Who could ask for anything more in a text editor?

4) Sunbird. It is the best calendar program out there. It doesn’t take a lot resources and it does exactly what it needs to do.

5) XMMS It plays music and it does it without a lot of hassles. Sure the interface is old, but it works and it doesn’t hassle me at all. I love it.
