I have been watching the housing market with a lot of interest lately. It seems like there is a shift occurring in the types of real estate people are looking for on the market. It seems like luxury is losing out to the practical. Also people seemed to be more interested in fixer upper homes that can be bought at a deep discount and can see a nice increase in value with just a little sweat equity.
I can understand the shift, I did the same when we bought our new home. While the housing market as a whole is seeing downward pressure on home values, our home is actually increasing in value. It sure makes me happy that we bought it when we did.
