Surprise, surprise. The Korean Government owns more than 20,000 hectares in Argentina. According to this article, they’ve bought it back in 1978 envisioning Korean farmers turning it into a Korean village. Unfortunately, the crops were unsuccessful and many of the emigrants fled to nearby cities.
The land has since fallen into neglect, but now the Korean Government is attempting to come up with a new project for it. Another stab at a Korean village? Who knows.
