Making It As A Programmer
I am doing a lot of professional writing alongside my real estate work. I enjoy both of those jobs, but lately I have become interested in programming again. I majored in CIS at university, so I am trained in programming, albeit old languages like COBOL, Pascal, and FORTRAN. I learned the programming concepts that you can carry with you for a lifetime.
A year ago, I got bit by the PHP bug and now in the last week, I have been looking at some of the web frameworks. I know I will have to devote a lot of my time to learning these, but if I could create a good application or two after a few months of work, maybe there is a career for me in programming. I am just curious if I could make it as a programmer.
