There is some thought that should be given to being self sufficient. It’s a way to not have to worry about the troubles that could swirl around you. It means being economically independent. I guess that is a big buzz word these days, economically independent. It should be. Too much effort is being put on being economically interdependent with others and suddenly begin to suffer too much from the business stupidity of others.
No longer are your decisions the reason you succeed or fall, but rather it is the decision that others have made about your business that will cause it to rise or fall. You need to remove these external factors.
I am sure now you are going to ask how to do it, but that’s not something I can tell you, but what I can say is that you should be thinking about it. Maybe I will try to think through an example to post later, after you have had a chance to think about this.
